Paradox on Via Veneto

Nothing Wrong Here At All

On Palm Beach Island, directly off of Worth Avenue – the famed Rodeo Drive of the East Coast – in a small courtyard called Via Veneto is a rather large exhibition of the work of prolific Romanian sculptor Prince “Monyo,” also known as Simon Mihailescu. A descendant of the Romanian royal family, the prince is known to locals of the island for his insatiable sexual appetite, a characteristic often apparent in his art (http://articles.sun-sentinel.com/1997-12-14/news/9712130224_1_police-officer-gallery-affair), and quite paradoxically, for his sculptures of children.
